ADC is a surf brand, studio and workshop based in China. Its core focus is wetsuits and rashguards for surfing.

## What ADC makes

- Surf wetsuits: warmth, fit and paddling movement are design priorities, alongside durability and repairability. The catalogue includes a hooded wetsuit direction.
- Surf rashguards: hooded and non-hooded designs developed from surfers' requests. SUN-HOODED is the hooded rashguard design discussed on the website.
- Custom work: enquiries about personal fit, specific surf use, teams or collaboration. Feasibility and scope are agreed directly, not promised by an online configurator.

These are product categories and selected designs, not a live stock or price list. Website imagery is clearly labelled conceptual and must not be treated as product photographs or technical specifications.

## The whole life of the gear

Comfort, warmth where appropriate, durability and ease of repair are considered from design through use. ADC's aim is to keep useful gear in use, reduce avoidable waste and put money into the surfing experience. These are design principles, not measured lifespan or comparative performance guarantees.

RRU stands for Repair, Renew, Update:

- Repair: assess damage and wear, and repair where the condition makes it worthwhile.
- Renew: consider a change of fit, component or form for continued use.
- Update: make a considered improvement, informed by the gear's condition and intended use.

RRU thinking also belongs in new-product and custom design. Experience from use and repair informs later decisions.

## Development and participation

R&D means Research & Development. ADC's approach connects questions from surf use and RRU repair observations with material, pattern and construction choices, sample use, revisions and further checking. Comfort, warmth where needed, durability and ease of repair are design priorities. A recorded design change is not evidence of a confirmed improvement or a completed follow-up test.

R&D Pilot is a product-development participation role within Aqua Driver Crew, ADC's wider community system. It connects observations from use with questions and decisions in development. The website does not offer automatic membership or guarantee open applications.

An anonymous brand-authored SUN-HOODED development note records hood fit, wrist coverage and stitching concerns. Confirmed development changes include hood sizing, brim reinforcement, XXS/XS sleeve revisions and additional reinforcement stitching. It does not claim all concerns have passed follow-up testing, or identify the contributors as formal R&D Pilot participants.
